Day 1Kolkata – Chennai – Colombo – Kandy [Lunch & Dinner]

Greetings from Kundu World Travels, your stop travel guide.

Assemble at the Netaji Subhash International Airport 3 hours prior to departure. Our courteous and experienced team leader, who will accompany you, will receive you at the airport. After completing all the formalities with assistance from the team leader board your flight for Chennai. After reaching Chennai proceed for your connecting flight for Colombo.

Welcome to Colombo! Our representative will meet you at the Bandaranaike International Airport and then You’ll be escorted to your vehicle to begin your holiday in Sri Lanka with transfer to Kandy.

Lying amidst the hills, Kandy is the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. While being the second largest city in Sri Lanka it is also famous for its immense beauty and is named as one of the seven UNESCO declared World Heritage sites in the country. Enroute while travelling from Colombo to Kandy we will Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage & Spice Garden. Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned and injured elephants within the park. You can watch caretakers feed, bathe and help these gentle giants. You want walk with the herd to the nearby river to watch the elephants bathe and play around in water.

Day 2Kandy – Annuradhapura Day Trip - Kandy [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will proceed to enjoy Kandy City Tour. Start your journey from one of the world heritages as well as a sacred place for the Buddhists all over the world; namely the Temple of tooth Relic known to the Sri Lankans as Dalada Maligawa. Your next visit will be to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which is a paradise for nature lovers. This beautiful flower Eden is restored with over 300 different varieties of orchids, other spices, medicinal plants and Palm trees. Every year more than 1.2 million people are enchanted bythe beauty of these 147 acre flower gardens. The real evidence of the richness will be affirmed by your visit to the Gem Museum. Sri Lanka produces the finest quality of gems in the world. Semi-precious gems, the sapphiresof Sri Lanka, which are very exclusive and comes in shades of blue, red, green, white etc. After your journey youwill drop to Hotel safely.

Dress Code for Temple: Wear clothes that cover your legs and your shoulders, and remove your shoes outside the temple. Evening we visit Kandy Cultural Show which depicts various forms of Kandyan dancing which was once native to the area but has now spread to different regions of the island.

Day 3Kandy - Nuwara Eliya [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

After the breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Ramboda waterfall & visit tea factory & plantation. RambodaFalls is 109 m (358 ft) high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and 729th highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945 m (3,100 ft) above sea level. Afterwards visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple. According to the ancient stories, Ramboda is a area, where the forces of Rama’s gather to fight against King Ravana. This temple was built by the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka and dedicated to Hanuman. This temple houses for 16 Feel height statue of Hanuman.

Nuwara Eliya – The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just likean England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.

Day 4Nuwara Eliya – Bentota [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Bentota is the city of the Golden Beaches. You will be able to relax and feel the spirit of the sea and the warmth of the soft sand. En- route visit Kithulgala on the way to Bentota from Nuwara Eliya which is famous for White Water Rafting.

Day 5Bentota [Breakafast, Lunch & Dinner]

Breakfast at Hotel. Bentota is the city of the Golden Beaches. You will be able to relax and feel the spirit of the sea and the warmth of the soft sand. The day is divided in between swimming in the water and bathing in the sun.

Bentota provides the perfect turf for unfurled vacation at the beach. While enjoying the sun, sea and sand the water sports lovers can enroll themselves in various water sports bringing in the unique pleasure of this locale.

Visit Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project: One of the most important activities of the project is its hatchery. Within the sanctuary of the project, collected and rescued eggs can hatch safely away from predators before being released into the sea at night-time. In addition, a certain number from each hatching are kept back for a short period. The hatchery program is designed to maximize the number of hatchlings reaching the sea and surviving through the critical stages of their early life. Only a few hatchlings from each batch will ever make it to adulthood. Therefore, every nest-ground, every egg, every hatchling, and every turtle is crucial to the survival of the species. Unfortunately, sea turtles face many dangers. Madu ganga flows across Balapitiya (approx. 80kms down south of Colombo) and is one of the rarely visited, unspoiled attractions any nature lover can find in Sri Lanka. She boasts of having a cluster of 64 small islands scattered along her path and the most of which are covered with mangroves and uninhabited. Treat yourself to a laid-back Madu River boat ride and immerse yourself in the scenic wonder of the southern coast.

Day 6Colombo [Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner]

Today after breakfast we set out for our final destination of the itinerary “Colombo”. On arrival in Colombo we proceed for a short city tour which gives us opportunity to see Viharamahadevi Park. It’s a public park located in Colombo, next to the National Museum in Sri Lanka. It is the oldest and largest park of the Port of Colombo Independence square, The Arcade Independence Square is a shopping complex housed in a group of renovated buildings including the former Jawatta Lunatic Asylum and the former Western Provincial Council Building. Shopping at ODEL BMICH, The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Shopping at house of fashion.

Gangarama Temple is one of the most important temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka, being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence. Galle face The Galle Face is a 5 ha ocean-side urban park, which stretches for 500 m along the coast, in the heart of the financial and business capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. Old parliament The Old Parliament Building is the building that houses the Presidential Secretariat of Sri Lanka. Situated in the Colombo fort facing the sea, it is in close proximity to the President’s House, Colombo.
